GUIDES is a modern hard rock band merging the textured aggression of nu-metal with the emotional urgency and nuance of post-hardcore. Their sound balances thick, heavy riffs with layered atmospheres and melodically driven songwriting.

Built on high energy and visceral performances, GUIDES has established its presence through a steady rise in the regional heavy scene, sharing the stage with acts like Sevendust, Taproot, Cold, Orgy, Attack Attack!, and Simon Says. Their live shows are real and intense, capturing the kind of connection and energy that throws back to experiencing live music in a simpler time.

Their 2023 debut EP “When Everything Reverses” laid the groundwork with heavy groove-driven instrumentation and more progressive and experimental tendencies. The self-produced release features five dynamic tracks that became foundational in allowing GUIDES to carve out their niche and further discover their sound.

Drawing influence from bands like Deftones, Taproot, and early Staind, while also channeling the melodic intensity of Finch, Thursday, and AFI the band continued to develop a sound and identity that is both heavy and deeply expressive.

Now entering a new chapter, the band returns with a series of singles beginning with “DRAIN,” produced by Zac “ZROKK” Diebels of Simon Says. The collaboration marks a turning point for the band bringing a sharper level of intention to the writing, production, and overall chemistry of the process. Tested both personally and creatively, the new material reflects a more focused and deliberate version of GUIDES.

GUIDES steps into its most intentional and defining phase yet, with new releases and live performances planned throughout the summer.
